Our client, a global leader in specialty insurance, is seeking a Senior Claims Handler to join their established Liability team. You will manage a caseload of Employers’ and Public Liability claims—assessing, negotiating, and settling claims efficiently and fairly, while supporting junior team members and collaborating with underwriting teams.

As a Senior Claims Handler, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a caseload of Employers’ and Public Liability claims from start to finish
• Assessing liability, allocating reserves, and settling claims within authority limits and service targets
• Ensuring compliance with FCA regulations and internal procedures
• Providing technical guidance to underwriters on policy coverage
• Mentoring and supporting junior colleagues with complex cases
• Maintaining focus on customer service, efficiency, and quality

Skills & experience required:

• Proven experience handling EL/PL liability claims
• Ability to manage a caseload from notification to resolution
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Strong analytical and numeracy skills for workflow and financial management
• GCSEs (A–C) and/or A-Levels (or equivalent); CII qualifications are a plus
• A customer-focused mindset with professionalism and empathy
