Citrus Recruit are excited to be working with a global organisation to recruit for an experienced Senior Claims Handler.

Our client, a global leader in specialty insurance, is seeking a Senior Claims Handler to join their established Liability team. You’ll be managing a caseload of Employers’ and Public Liability claims – using your experience to assess, negotiate and settle claims efficiently and fairly, while supporting junior team members and collaborating with underwriting teams.

As a Senior Claims Handler, you will be responsible for:

  • Handle a caseload of Employers’ and Public Liability claims from start to finish
  • Accurately assess liability, allocate reserves, and settle claims in line with authority limits and service targets
  • Ensure compliance with FCA regulations and internal company procedures
  • Provide technical guidance to underwriters regarding policy coverage queries
  • Mentor and support junior colleagues with complex cases and referrals
  • Maintain a strong focus on customer service, efficiency, and quality

Skills & experience required

  • Proven experience in handling EL/PL liability claims
  • Confident in managing your own caseload from notification to resolution
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical and numeracy ability for managing workflow and financials
  • GCSEs (A–C) and/or A-Levels (or equivalent); CII qualifications are an advantage
  • A customer-first mindset and ability to work with professionalism and empathy
