Job summary

PIB Insurance Brokers, part of PIB Group, is seeking a Senior Claims Handler to join our Claims team. You will manage complex claims end-to-end, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution while upholding policy terms and confidentiality.

You’ll lead investigations, gather documentation, negotiate settlements, and keep clients informed with proactive communication. Hybrid working pattern and a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing complex cross-class claims (property & casualty)
• Strong understanding of insurance policy terms, coverages, and claims procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Manage the full claims process from notification to settlement and maintain up-to-date records.

Our Claims team at PIB Insurance Brokers are looking for an experienced Senior Claims Handler to join their team in providing top‑class service to all clients. What you’ll be doing

• Managing the entire claims process from notification to settlement, ensuring accuracy, compliance with policy terms, and timely resolution, while maintaining up-to-date records and preparing required reports.
• Providing proactive communication, timely issue resolution, and exceptional customer service to keep claimants informed and supported throughout the process.
• Conducting thorough investigations, gather documentation, assess damages and liabilities, and negotiate fair settlements with all parties, ensuring prompt payment in line with company procedures.
• Ensuring all claims are handled in compliance with legal, regulatory, and company standards, report suspicious or fraudulent claims, and maintain confidentiality in accordance with data protection regulations.

What we’re looking for

• Robust experience in managing complex cross‑class claims (property & casualty experience is a must) ideally a caseload in the region of 250 files, and Cert CII is desirable but not essential for this role.
• A solid understanding of the insurance market, policy terms, coverage and claims procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence and ability to build rapport with customers and stakeholders.
• A customer‑centric approach by delivering high‑quality service, applying strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, maintaining attention to detail and discretion with sensitive information, and remaining calm and professional under pressure.
