Job Title: Senior Claims Advocate

Location: London/Hybrid (Typically 2/3 days in the office)

Type: Full time – Permanent (Flexible working arrangements are welcome, including job share partnerships or reduced hours)

The role involves providing a leading claims advocacy service, managing complex claims effectively, and ensuring optimal outcomes throughout the claim lifecycle. It requires strategic partnership, expert communication, and insurance analysis skills.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Proactively manage high-profile, complex claims, identifying issues early and resolving them with clients and insurers.
  2. Prepare and present claims information, handle instructions, queries, and enquiries.
  3. Monitor insurer payments and ensure correct beneficiaries receive funds.
  4. Report claims difficulties promptly to management.
  5. Notify relevant instructions between insurers, clients, and experts.
  6. Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, experts, and insurers.
  7. Coordinate with colleagues for claims statistics and renewal purposes.
  8. Work with accounting colleagues on financial transactions and queries.
  9. Stay updated on market and system changes.
  10. Monitor workload and report to management as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree in business, law, economics, or engineering preferred but not required.
  • At least DIP CII, or ideally ACII qualified.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience handling claims with brokers, insurers, lawyers, or loss adjusters.
Person Specification
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Strong numeracy and communication skills.
  • Effective team player.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive and ambitious with a desire to grow professionally.
