Job Description

We're looking for a Senior Civils Estimator to join our Natural Resources Nuclear & Networks team based in the North.

Location: Sites in Manchester and Warrington - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required

Hours: 40 hours per week

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Civils Estimator, you'll be working within the Commercial team, supporting them in maximising the commercial position of Kier whilst securing opportunities in line with our contract objectives.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Leading the estimating process within the bid or framework teams from receipt of documents to handover to the delivery teams.
• Preparation and representation of the estimate bid team meetings and final settlement of bid.
• Initiate technical queries and ensure design is sufficiently developed to ensure accurate costings.
• Technical and commercial appraisal of material and subcontract quotations including selection of prospective sub-contractors.
• Use of estimating software such as RIB Candy or similar software.

This role of Senior Civils Estimator is great for you if:

• Degree/HNC qualified in a construction or civil engineering related subject.
• Experience working as an Estimator for a major civil engineering contractor.
• Commercial awareness with knowledge of various forms of contract such as NEC, ICE, and IChemE.
