ABOUT THE ROLE

About the Opportunity

My client has expanded their project portfolio for 2024 / 2025 with some impressive wins, ranging from complex recladding schemes acting as a main contractor and prestigious new build contracts acting as envelope contractor. They are looking to expand their Pre-construction Team and are recruiting for an Estimator.

This role is suitable for someone with the desire to achieve results through hard work and who is career motivated. The working environment is very friendly and enjoyable, reflected in the low staff turnover. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client
• Assisting in establishing a client’s requirements and undertaking feasibility studies
• Performing risk and value management and cost control
• Advising on procurement strategy
• Identifying, analysing, and developing responses to commercial risks
• Preparing and analysing costings for tenders
• Allocating work to subcontractors

REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must have experience working for a rival facade subcontractor in the UK, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role. Candidates should have façade experience including Curtain Walling, Light-Weight Steel Framing Systems, Render, Brick Slips & External Wall Insulation Systems, and Cladding. Ability to work to programmes and deadlines, adaptability, and a keen eye for quality are essential. Proven experience within a façade contractor is required.

REWARDS AND BENEFITS

Salary will be discussed individually, with a target range of £60K to £70K annually. All reasonable travel expenses will be covered, and a company benefits package will be provided.
