Job summary

Energy Jobline ATTB is seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to lead design packages for the MoD Dock Readiness programme at the Devonport site. The role supports the Design Manager in delivering multi-disciplinary infrastructure upgrades, including heavy civil works and dry dock structures.

You will run a small team, manage stakeholders, and contribute to technical reviews and documentation in a nuclear-licensed environment.

Qualifications

Design and substantiation of heavy civil / building structures, with focus on dry dock structures.
Knowledge of architectural design for industrial buildings is preferred.
Experience with American seismic codes (e.g., ACI 349-19) and Eurocodes is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Lead a small team delivering civil/structural work packages to scope, quality, schedule and cost.
Manage stakeholder requirements and incorporate them into designs.
Oversee technical aspects from need identification through handover; provide SME advice.
Review documents and provide SQEP assessment of seismic designs and relevant standards.
Plan effective project implementation and lead technical planning processes.
Ensure Quality Management Arrangements and compliance with the Business Management System.
Document and control records and manage risk assessments across the team.
