Job summary

Morson Human Resources Limited is seeking a civil/structural engineer to lead a small team within the Dock Readiness work packages for MoD submarine and warship programmes. You will manage technical design packages, ensure quality and safety compliance, and coordinate stakeholder requirements on a nuclear-licensed site during a 12-month contract.

The role requires experience in heavy civil/structural design, seismic knowledge, and strong technical leadership within a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or equivalent in engineering.
• Experience leading design teams in complex projects.
• Knowledge of seismic codes (ACI-349, ASCE) and Eurocodes.
• Experience with nuclear-related structures or facilities is preferred.
• Proven ability to manage design packages and deliver to schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team delivering civil/structural work packages to scope, quality, schedule and cost.
• Coordinate stakeholder requirements and integrate them into designs.
• Manage technical aspects of engineering packages from identification to handover.
• Provide SME guidance on discipline requirements and technical responses.
