Job summary

United Infrastructure Ltd is seeking a Senior Engineer to support delivery of the Liverpool Bay Carbon Capture Scheme, working closely with project teams on one of the UK’s most significant energy transition projects. The role focuses on civil and structural works, delivering critical infrastructure across the North West.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering major civil/ infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and practical delivery approach.
• Effective communication and collaboration at all levels.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status or working towards.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil and structural construction activities including reinforced concrete, foundations and earthworks.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget and quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance to construction teams, subcontractors and site management.
• Review designs, specifications and construction methodologies for project delivery.
• Liaise with design teams and stakeholders to resolve technical queries and interfaces.
• Monitor compliance with standards, CDM Regulations and HSE procedures.
• Support planning, sequencing and coordination of activities.
• Identify and mitigate engineering risks and construction constraints.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and site engineers.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and engineering best practice.
