Job summary

SSA Recruitment is seeking a Senior Engineer/Agent for a Civil Engineering & Utilities contractor working on major Water projects across Thames Water framework. The role covers managing site operations, coordinating works, and ensuring safety, budget, and timeline adherence on AMP8 projects.

The Site Agent will oversee plant, materials and labour, liaise with internal teams, manage subcontractors and lead site meetings, while contributing to work planning and supplier coordination.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Engineer within Civil Engineering, Utilities, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Managing day to day site operations
• Ensuring construction is completed in accordance with company & industry health & safety standards, and is in budget, and on the expected timeline
• Liaising with internal teams to plan and programme construction and installation works
• Management of plant, materials, and site labour
• Subcontractor liaison and management
• Leading site meetings to discuss project resources, timeline, budget etc
• Contribute to work planning, and briefing project teams, contractors, and suppliers
