Job summary

Falcon Green Personnel, in partnership with a leading European Tier 1 Main Contractor, is seeking a Senior Project Manager (Civils) to lead the civil works package on a hyperscale data centre project in Northumberland.

You will plan, coordinate, and deliver civil engineering works, working with the Project Director, site teams, subcontractors, and client to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery to high quality standards.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager or Project Manager leading major civil packages.
• Experience delivering data centre, mission critical, infrastructure, or large-scale construction projects.
• Strong understanding of earthworks, drainage, roads, utilities, foundations, and reinforced concrete structures.
• Excellent programme management and construction planning capabilities.
• Commercially aware with experience managing project budgets and contractual obligations.
• Strong leadership and multi-disciplinary team management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage delivery of all civil engineering works on a large-scale data centre project.
• Oversee planning, programme management, and resource allocation to meet milestones.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal teams.
• Ensure works align with specifications and client expectations.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigations.
• Manage budgets, cost reporting, and commercial performance with the commercial team.
• Promote health, safety, and quality culture across the project.
• Chair progress meetings with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Review method statements, risk assessments, and construction methodologies.
• Support procurement and ensure timely delivery of materials and labour.
• Provide regular project updates to senior management and client team.
• Oversee handover, close-out, and client satisfaction.
