Job summary

Falcon Green Personnel in Middlesbrough is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead major substructure works on a high-profile data centre development. You will work with engineering, design and construction teams to keep the project moving.

The role requires a strong civil/structural engineering background, 10+ years of delivery or design experience on large infrastructure or data centre projects, and familiarity with Design & Build contracts.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years delivering or designing major infrastructure, industrial or data centre projects.
• Recent data centre experience within last 5 years is essential.
• Experience in engineering, design management, project engineering or senior site engineering positions.
• Strong knowledge of enabling works, earthworks and reinforced concrete substructures.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and project leadership across the delivery of the works.
• Act as technical authority, challenge proposals and identify risks.
• Review and interrogate civil, structural, geotechnical, drainage and temporary works designs.
• Assess design assumptions, methods and constructability.
• Manage contractor-led design packages through construction.
• Coordinate with site teams to develop methods and sequencing.
• Manage multidisciplinary consultants, designers and subcontractors.
• Engage with client, consultants, contractors and utilities.
• Identify and resolve technical issues on site to maintain programme.
• Support enabling works, earthworks, remediation, drainage and piling.
• Manage technical change and assess impact on programme and cost.
• Mitigate construction, engineering, environmental and planning risks.
• Support commercial discussions arising from design development and changes.
