Job summary

Modaxo seeks a Civil Enforcement Officer to patrol designated areas in Oxford, promoting compliance with parking rules and assisting the public in all weather conditions. You will issue PCNs where required, document evidence, and collaborate with local safety partners to maintain a safe public environment.

The role involves 40 hours a week across shifts, with opportunities to develop knowledge of traffic regulations and enforcement best practices. A strong customer-service approach is essential.

Responsibilities

• Monitor on-street and off-street parking areas by foot, on a moped or bicycle to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Issue Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) where non‑compliance is identified in line with local traffic orders.
• Collect and record evidence, write clear reports, capture photographs, and keep accurate records.
• Identify and authorise immobilisation or removal of vehicles per regulatory guidelines to support enforcement.
• Regularly inspect pay and display machines, signage and car park equipment; report faults or maintenance issues.
• Engage with residents and visitors in a professional, helpful manner to promote safe, lawful parking and public safety.
