Job summary

COWI is seeking a Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer to deliver multidisciplinary UK projects across highways, rail, water and energy sectors. You will provide technical leadership within your discipline while coordinating with other specialists to deliver buildable, sustainable solutions.

You will own technical deliverables, develop client relationships, mentor junior staff and contribute from concept through to construction, with flexible hybrid working across UK offices.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in civil engineering.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or progress toward qualification.
• Strong technical background in highways, drainage, utilities, or development infrastructure.
• Experience coordinating designs across multiple disciplines.
• Experience with infrastructure design software Civil 3D/InfoDrainage/MicroDrainage.
• UK delivery experience across highways, rail, water, energy, or development infra.
• Familiar with CDM Regulations and design risk assessment.
• Experience mentoring engineers/technicians.
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of infrastructure design packages across highways, drainage, utilities and related disciplines.
• Act as technical lead ensuring integration with other disciplines and stakeholders.
• Prepare and review calculations, drawings, specs, and design reports.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces; identify risks and opportunities.
• Build relationships with clients, authorities, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Support project managers on programme, resources, and commercial objectives.
• Undertake site visits and provide construction-phase support.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians.
