Job summary

Involve Recruitment Ltd. is assisting a leading Tier 1 civil engineering contractor to appoint a Senior Engineer for a long-term framework across South Wales, focused on wastewater infrastructure, upgrades and improvements.

The role involves technical leadership, site coordination, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards. You will work with the Project Manager and Site Management to deliver safely, efficiently, and to programme requirements, providing guidance to

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Significant site-based civil/heavy infrastructure experience.
• Previous Senior Engineer or similar role experience.
• Experience delivering major civil projects, preferably water/wastewater/utilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across site activities.
• Ensure works comply with HSE, environmental and quality requirements.
• Coordinate engineering activities across project sections.
• Interpret drawings and technical information accurately.
• Oversee setting out, surveying and dimensional control.
• Monitor works against drawings, specs and programme.
• Collaborate with PMs, site teams and subcontractors.
• Identify and resolve technical issues; escalate where needed.
• Assist with RAMS, ITPs and quality records.
• Maintain engineering records and changes documentation.
• Support design changes and site instructions.
• Contribute to programme reporting and planning.
