Aldwych Consulting Ltd in Norwich is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead our civil engineering team in the Norwich office. The role combines technical leadership, project delivery and people management across a varied portfolio including highways, drainage and infrastructure.

You will mentor staff, manage programmes and build strong client relationships, with hybrid working and clear opportunities to grow the team.

Qualifications

• Significant civil engineering consultancy experience.
• Strong knowledge across highways, drainage and infrastructure.
• Experience mentoring engineers and technicians.
• Strong project management and client-facing skills.
• Commercial awareness and experience supporting business development.
• Chartered status or working towards ICE Chartership.

Responsibilities

• Leading civil engineering projects from concept through to detailed design and construction.
• Providing technical expertise across drainage, highways, external works, levels and infrastructure.
• Managing, mentoring and developing the civil engineering team.
• Reviewing technical deliverables and ensuring quality and compliance.
• Managing project programmes, resources and budgets.
• Building relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
• Supporting fee proposals and business development.
• Contributing to recruitment and growing the Norwich civil engineering team.
