Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to support the expansion of our energy team across Renewables & Transmission and Distribution. You will contribute to projects across the UK, Ireland and Europe, with opportunities to be based in Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, London, Dublin, Belfast and Perth, supported by a flexible hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering required; chartered status preferred or in progress.
• Demonstrated technical competency in civil/structural design.
• Strong report writing and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients and manage project work to meet time and budget.
• Coordinate multi‑disciplinary design teams.
• Lead the design of civil infrastructure including roads, drainage, and external works.
• Prepare and review calculations and detailed design drawings per UK standards.
• Conduct site inspections and respond to technical queries.
• Produce high‑quality feasibility, inspection and design reports; mentor junior staff.
