Job summary

Amey is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join the Structures Assessments (CAFA) team in York, Liverpool, Cardiff or Crawley. The role is 37.5 hours per week with hybrid work and in-office presence of at least 3 days per week.

You will lead inspections, perform design assessments for rail assets and mentor junior staff while liaising with clients to deliver projects on time and to standard.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer (CEng/IEng) or working towards.
Proven experience with railway structure inspection, assessment and design.
Experience with industry design/analysis software (e.g., STAAD, LUSAS, Tedds).
Ability to mentor and develop junior staff.

Responsibilities

Prepare technical assessment/remits, calculations, reports and drawings to standards.
On-site inspection leadership and asset examination.
Maintain high technical standards per project specs and HSEQ.
Provide training and development support for staff.
Engage with client and third parties to maintain relations.
