Job summary

Laing O'Rourke (Expanded) is recruiting a Senior Engineer to join the East West Rail project. The role involves delivering a broad package of rail infrastructure, including new structures, upgrades to assets, and associated works supporting the wider programme.

The successful candidate will lead on temporary works management, dimensional control, 3D CAD data handling, and ITP creation, while ensuring quality procedures and procurement processes are met.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or recognised qualification.
• 7–8 years' Civil Engineering delivery experience.
• Temporary Works experience essential.

Responsibilities

• Utilise Digital Engineering models to inform Visual Method Statements and Visual Task sheets.
• Implement and ensure compliance with LOR Management of Temporary Works procedures.
• Determine appropriate dimensional control methods and ensure data is controlled.
• Interrogate and transfer setting-out data from 3D CAD data.
• Define scope of survey and as-built reporting to demonstrate compliance.
• Produce and ensure ITPs address specification and contractual obligations.
• Ensure adherence to project and company quality procedures.
• Apply best engineering methods and design process knowledge.
• Produce and approve method statements and risk assessments.
• Support procurement and manage a Senior Engineers team where required.
