Job summary

Laing O'Rourke are recruiting a Senior Engineer to join the East West Rail project in the UK. The role involves leading civil engineering delivery, setting out data, and applying temporary works control on site.

You will utilise digital models to produce method statements, manage ITPs, and drive quality procedures across multi-disciplinary teams. Experience in large rail/infrastructure projects is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent with relevant experience.
• 7-8 years in a Civil Engineering delivery environment.
• Temporary Works experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Utilise a Digital Engineering model to create Visual Method Statements and Visual Task sheets.
• Fully implement and ensure compliance with the LOR Management of Temporary works procedure.
• Determine appropriate methods of dimensional control and ensure setting out data is controlled.
• Interrogate and transfer setting out data from 3D CAD data.
• Define scope of as-built surveys and reports to demonstrate compliance.
• Produce and/or ensure ITPs address specifications and contractual obligations.
• Ensure adherence to project and company quality procedures.
• Utilise and recommend best engineering methods.
• Apply design process knowledge to project delivery.
• Produce and approve method statements and risk assessments.
• Oversee procurement activities.
• Manage a team of Senior Engineers (project dependent).
