Job summary

Calibre Search is recruiting a Senior Civil Engineer to lead a Land Development team in Glasgow. The role focuses on technically challenging projects across energy, defence, residential and major development sectors. Hybrid working with office/site presence typical 3 days per week.

The successful candidate will coordinate engineers, provide mentorship, and deliver high-quality civil design across drainage, utilities and highways while liaising with clients and project teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status or working towards it.
• Experience in civil engineering design consultancy.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage a team delivering technical design on multidisciplinary projects.
• Lead civil design across drainage, utilities, highways, pavements, earthworks and construction logistics.
• Produce, check and review reports, drawings and calculations.
• Provide technical input into external works and design packages.
• Ensure designs comply with standards and health and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the UK and internationally.
