Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking Senior Civil Engineers for its Land Development team in the Manchester Office and other northern UK offices. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team on landmark UK infrastructure projects including energy and defence sectors, while delivering high-quality external works designs.

The role offers hybrid working with 3 days per week office/site. Chartered or Incorporated status preferred, with opportunities for professional development and international collaboration.

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered or Incorporated Civil Engineer, or actively in the final stages of working towards chartered professional accreditation.
• Proven experience coordinating or managing a civil engineering design delivery team.
• Strong technical knowledge and practical experience in external works such as drainage, utilities, pavements, and earthworks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage a team of civil engineers for delivery of technical design work on complex multi-disciplinary projects.
• Produce, check and review technical deliverables such as design reports, specifications, drawings, calculations.
• Provide technical input into project design deliverables and manage time/budgets to milestones.
• Collaborate with client, operational, project, or service activities within AtkinsRéalis teams.
• Provide mentorship and develop capabilities of junior colleagues.
• Work independently with minimal guidance and solve technical problems with support from the network.
