Billy Associates LTD is seeking a Principal/Senior Civil Engineer to lead the design and delivery of civil infrastructure projects from our Leicester office. The role fuses technical leadership with client liaison and project governance, mentoring junior staff and guiding teams through multi-disciplinary delivery.

You will oversee high-quality design outputs, ensure adherence to UK standards, and manage submissions, stakeholder relationships, and programme delivery for a range of development

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a UK civil engineering consultancy.
• Strong technical capability in infrastructure and development-led civil engineering.
• Confident leading projects and communicating with clients and external stakeholders.
• Proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach to engineering delivery.

Responsabilités

• Lead design and delivery of highways, drainage and civil infrastructure works.
• Produce and review technical designs and documentation (SuDS, drainage).
• Prepare and oversee submissions and approvals (S104, S106, S185, S38, S278, S184).
• Produce and review Flood Risk Assessments and hydraulic modelling outputs.
• Deliver external works, earthworks modelling and levels design.
• Undertake 2D/3D highway and drainage design with industry software.
• Liaise with authorities and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Chair project meetings and provide technical input to clients.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians.
• Assist with resource planning, fee proposals and programme delivery.
• Ensure all work complies with UK standards and best practice.
