Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our client in Leicester on a permanent basis. You will lead highway and drainage infrastructure projects, oversee technical design and assessments, and mentor junior engineers.

The role requires strong experience in MicroDrainage, AutoCAD and Civil3D, excellent problem solving, and ability to coordinate with stakeholders across disciplines on site visits and office-based project management three days a week.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil or structural engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered status is beneficial but not required.
• Experience with development infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

Our client, is currently seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join their team in Leicester. This is a permanent role, focusing on the development and maintenance of infrastructure projects, particularly in highways and drainage systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading and managing infrastructure development projects
• Preparing technical assessments (TA) and flood risk assessments (FRA)
• Designing and implementing highway and drainage solutions
• Utilising software such as MicroDrainage, AutoCAD, and Civil3D
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success
• Providing technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Conducting site visits and office-based project management three days a week

Job Requirements:

• Significant experience in civil engineering, specifically in development infrastructure
• Strong proficiency in MicroDrainage, AutoCAD, and Civil3D
• Experience in highways and drainage project design and implementation
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
• Chartership is beneficial but not essential
