Job summary

Green Gen Cymru seeks a Senior Civil Engineer to lead civil design across its network development programme in Cardiff. You will coordinate design activities for substations, overhead lines and underground cables, ensuring CDM compliance and high-quality technical input.

You will report to the Head of Engineering, oversee design changes and risk management, and drive engineering standards and collaboration with stakeholders to achieve programme objectives.

Qualifications

• A degree in civil engineering or equivalent experience is required.
• Proven track record as a civil engineer in energy network project delivery.
• Experience delivering civil design from concept to delivery within energy networks.
• Experience applying CDM to design activities throughout the lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering design activities across the network development portfolio.
• Coordinate and assure civil designs for substations, OHL and underground cables.
• Ensure CDM compliance and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee design changes, reviews and risk management for safe solutions.
• Develop and promote engineering standards, procedures and specs.
