Job description

Senior Civil Engineer

Location: Leeds

Salary: Up to £53k

Calibre Search is working on behalf of a fast-paced specialist Infrastructure Consultancy based in Leeds. They are a renowned Transport Planning and Highway Infrastructure Consultancy with over 30 years of experience working with both private and public sector clients, seeking to add a Senior Civil Engineer to their team.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Maintain and develop technical or management capabilities through CPD, attending training seminars, and presenting key points to colleagues.
2. Work across different offices as part of a multidisciplinary team, taking direction from lead engineers.
3. Provide technical leadership in core skills, understand how different skills are coordinated, and implement company policies and procedures, including SHEQMS at project level.
4. Manage external resources and suppliers, develop design strategies, and guide junior staff through detailed design stages.
5. Review concept designs, challenge designs and fees, provide value engineering solutions, and present benefits to clients and the wider team.

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum of seven years UK industry experience.
• Chartered status or working towards IEng level (evidence through IPD) or professionally qualified to EngTech level with further learning.
