Job summary

A Senior Civil Engineer role in Hemel Hempstead with Aldwych Consulting. You will take ownership of civil engineering projects spanning residential, commercial and mixed-use developments from feasibility through to detailed design and approvals.

Working in a multidisciplinary team, you will lead drainage and infrastructure schemes, coordinate with clients and authorities, and mentor junior engineers while pursuing Chartered Engineer status.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Consultancy experience in drainage and infrastructure design.
• Experience on development-led projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and InfoDrainage/MicroDrainage.
• Good understanding of UK drainage and infrastructure standards.
• Strong project and client management skills.
• Working towards or Chartered Engineer status.

Responsibilities

• Prepare drainage strategies and Flood Risk Assessments.
• Work on S104, S38 and S278 agreements.
• Produce detailed civil engineering design packages.

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 DOE

The Opportunity

An experienced Civil Engineer is sought to join a well-established multidisciplinary consultancy, taking ownership of civil engineering projects and helping strengthen their civil capability across the South East. The role offers the opportunity to work across residential, commercial and mixed-use developments, from feasibility and planning through to detailed design and technical approvals.

The Role

You will take a lead role in the design and delivery of drainage and infrastructure schemes, working closely with clients, local authorities, water companies and wider multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the design and delivery of drainage and infrastructure schemes
• Preparing drainage strategies and Flood Risk Assessments
• Working on S104, S38 and S278 agreements
• Producing detailed civil engineering design packages
• Coordinating with clients, authorities and water companies
• Managing programmes and technical deliverables
• Supporting and mentoring junior engineers
• Contributing to the continued growth of the civil engineering team

What We're Looking For
