Aldwych Consulting Ltd. is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer in Hemel Hempstead to lead drainage and infrastructure projects from feasibility through to approvals. You will work on residential, commercial and mixed-use schemes, coordinating with clients, authorities and water companies.

The role offers project ownership, mentoring of junior engineers, and opportunities for Chartered Engineer progression. Proficiency in AutoCAD and drainage software is essential, with a strong emphasis on UK

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Consultancy experience in drainage and infrastructure design.
• Experience working on development-led projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and InfoDrainage/MicroDrainage.
• Good understanding of UK drainage and infrastructure standards.
• Strong project and client management skills.
• Working towards or already achieving Chartered Engineer status.

Responsibilities

Senior Civil Engineer - Hemel Hempstead

Location: Hemel Hempstead
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 DOE
Type: Full-Time | Permanent

The Opportunity

An experienced Civil Engineer is sought to join a well-established multidisciplinary consultancy, taking ownership of civil engineering projects and helping strengthen their civil capability across the South East.

The role offers the opportunity to work across residential, commercial and mixed-use developments, from feasibility and planning through to detailed design and technical approvals.

The Role

You will take a lead role in the design and delivery of drainage and infrastructure schemes, working closely with clients, local authorities, water companies and wider multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the design and delivery of drainage and infrastructure schemes

• Preparing drainage strategies and Flood Risk Assessments

• Working on S104, S38 and S278 agreements

• Producing detailed civil engineering design packages

• Coordinating with clients, authorities and water companies
