Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead drainage and infrastructure design for a variety of residential, commercial and mixed-use developments in the Didcot area. You will own projects from feasibility through detailed design and approvals, working closely with clients and authorities to meet project milestones.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, consultancy experience in drainage, and proficiency with AutoCAD and drainage software.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline required.
• Consultancy experience in drainage and infrastructure design preferred.
• Experience on development-led projects and UK drainage standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and drainage analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of drainage and infrastructure schemes.
• Prepare drainage strategies and Flood Risk Assessments.
• Work on S104, S38 and S278 agreements.
• Produce detailed civil engineering design packages.

The Opportunity

An experienced Civil Engineer is sought to join a well-established multidisciplinary consultancy, taking ownership of civil engineering projects and playing a key role within their growing civil team.

The role offers the opportunity to work across a varied portfolio of residential, commercial and mixed-use developments, taking projects from feasibility and planning through to detailed design and technical approvals.

The Role

You will take a lead role in the design and delivery of drainage and infrastructure schemes, working closely with clients, local authorities, water companies and wider multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the design and delivery of drainage and infrastructure schemes
• Preparing drainage strategies and Flood Risk Assessments
• Working on S104, S38 and S278 agreements
• Producing detailed civil engineering design packages
• Coordinating with clients, authorities and water companies
• Managing programmes and technical deliverables
• Supporting and mentoring junior engineers
• Contributing to the continued growth of the civil engineering team

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Consultancy experience in drainage and infrastructure design
• Experience working on development-led projects
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and InfoDrainage/MicroDrainage
• Good understanding of UK drainage and infrastructure standards
• Strong project and client management skills
• Working towards or already achieving Chartered Engineer status
