Job summary

Vinci is seeking a Senior CAD Technician to lead the CAD delivery on civil and structural projects. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary outputs, convert concepts into detailed, construction-ready drawings, and mentor junior staff within a robust design team.

You will ensure compliance with UK standards and client specifications while maintaining high quality, on-time CAD outputs across projects of varying size and complexity.

Qualifications

• Senior CAD Technician with civil/structural experience.
• 5–8 years producing general arrangements and details for buildings, foundations, and roads.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit; familiar with BIM environments.
• Knowledge of UK standards, client specs, and CDM regulations.

Responsibilities

• Produce, manage, and coordinate high-quality CAD designs and drawings per project specs and standards.
• Act as Lead CAD Technician, coordinating drawing production, revisions, and issue registers to meet milestones.
• Develop civil layouts, general arrangements, and detailed construction drawings from concepts and calculations.
• Liaise with Engineers and other discipline teams to ensure fully coordinated designs.
• Ensure CAD outputs meet quality, cost, and schedule requirements; perform self-checks and peer reviews.
• Maintain awareness of legislation and client requirements; ensure compliance within drawings.
• Mentor junior CAD technicians and trainees, providing technical guidance and checks.
• Manage CAD standards, layering, templates, and document control.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of CAD processes and workflows within the design team.
• Work independently, reporting progress, risks, and issues to project leads.
