Job summary

BakerHicks in London is seeking a Senior Technician who leads on civil and structural drawings, ensuring precision and full, compliant information for projects.

You will mentor CAD technicians and apprentices, drive BIM adoption and CAD process improvements, and deliver detailed drawings that meet UK standards.

The role offers hybrid working, diverse multidisciplinary projects, and opportunities for professional growth; security clearances may apply.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND in Civil Engineering (ICE accredited).
• EngTech MICE / TIStructE or working towards it.
• Proficient in Autodesk Revit & AutoCAD; MicroStation and CADS RC a bonus.
• Strong knowledge of UK standards, CDM regulations and BIM.
• Excellent team leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the quality and completeness of all drawn information for projects.
• Support a team of CAD technicians and mentor technicians and apprentices.
• Drive BIM adoption and CAD process improvements.
• Deliver accurate, detailed drawings and ensure compliance with UK standards.
