Job summary

VSL International Ltd. is seeking a skilled Draftsman/CAD Technician to join our team in London or Birmingham. You will produce precise 2D/3D drawings across civil, structural, and architectural projects, collaborating with engineers, designers and site teams to meet project standards.

The role requires a civil engineering or architecture background and hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Rhino and Grasshopper, with additional exposure to Tekla or Autodesk Inventor being advantageous.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience working as a Draftsman / CAD Technician within construction, infrastructure, or engineering projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D & 3D, Rhino, and Grasshopper is essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings for construction works, including civil, structural, and architectural elements.
• Develop and update temporary works fabrication drawings, construction sequence drawings, and method drawings in line with project requirements.
• Interpret and convert design concepts, sketches, and technical specifications into accurate construction drawings.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, company standards, and regulatory requirements.
