Job summary

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Physiotherapist to join the Multidisciplinary Chronic Pain Service. The role focuses on assessing and treating chronic pain, promoting self-management, and developing biopsychosocial care within a team of specialists.

You will work in a supportive environment with opportunities to advance skills in CBT/ACT and pain education within structured programmes for patients.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration
• Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy.
• Member of Chronic Pain interest group
• Clinical educator training
• Evidence of management training

Responsibilities

• Provide physiotherapy assessment and treatment for patients with chronic pain
• Support patients to develop self-management skills and improve functional outcomes
• Develop psychological skills (e.g. motivational interviewing, CBT, ACT) to facilitate patient care
• Assist in delivering pain education and structured group programmes
• Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team (physiotherapists, psychologists, nurses, consultants)
• Participate in audit, service development and quality improvement projects
