Job summary

Brightsmith are partnering with an innovative UK energy infrastructure company operating across the distributed energy sector. They are looking to appoint a technical leader to own two energy centres in Central Scotland and help shape the technical function as the business scales.

This role focuses on safe and reliable operation of live energy infrastructure, with greater ownership of site operations and support for integrating new assets as the portfolio grows.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in CHP, power generation or district heating environments.
• Strong mechanical or electrical engineering background (HNC/HND or equivalent).
• Hands-on experience with gas engines, boilers, heat pumps or rotating plant.

Responsibilities

• Own the safe, reliable operation of two energy centres.
• Lead transition of one site from outsourced O&M to in-house model.
• Oversee plant equipment including CHP engines, boilers, heat pumps and pumps.
• Manage contractors and specialist suppliers.
• Own maintenance schedules, inspections and site records.
• Interface with customers, site hosts and senior leadership.
