Job summary

Brightsmith are seeking experienced Project Engineers to lead hands-on delivery of the UK's low-carbon heat infrastructure, spanning heat networks, energy centres, heat pumps and wider thermal projects. You will play a hands-on role across design, procurement, construction and commissioning to ensure successful delivery and client satisfaction.

You will coordinate across multiple disciplines, liaising with clients, utilities and authorities to uphold safety, quality and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Experience in heat networks and district heating projects.
• Experience with energy centres or large-scale heating infrastructure is preferred.
• Background in HVAC/building services related to thermal energy systems.
• Familiarity with renewable energy infrastructure and CHP.
• Experience delivering EPC/construction projects.
• Knowledge of applicable safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the delivery of low-carbon heat and energy infrastructure projects from concept through to commissioning.
• Working across technical design, engineering, procurement, construction and installation.
• Coordinating contractors, suppliers, consultants and internal engineering teams.
• Supporting project planning, budgets, schedules, risk management and technical documentation.
• Reviewing engineering designs and ensuring projects meet technical, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Working closely with clients, utilities, local authorities and other stakeholders.
