Job summary

Hames Chocolates Limited in Skegness is seeking a full‑time Packing Room Manager to lead our busy packing operation. You will organise, supervise, and develop the packing room team to ensure products are packed accurately, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

You will coordinate workloads with other departments, maintain compliance with health and safety, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or management experience in food manufacturing, packing, or production.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good mathematical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
• Experience working within BRCGS standards would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and supervise the packing room team.
• Manage workers and performance.
• Ensure the packing schedules meet production targets.
• Ensure all products are packed correctly and labels are accurate.
• Liaise with Chocolate Room, Warehouse, Graphics Department, and Office Team to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, hygiene, and housekeeping.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, BRCGS standards, and customer requirements.
• Complete production records and company paperwork accurately and on time.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the packing operation.

Due to the continued growth and success of Hames Chocolates, we are looking to recruit an additional Packing Room Manager to join our production team in Skegness. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, hands‑on leader to help manage our busy packing operation, ensuring products are packed accurately, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will lead and support the packing room team, coordinate workloads, maintain compliance with food safety and quality standards, and work closely with other departments including the Chocolate Room, Warehouse, Graphics, and Office teams.

Key Responsibilities
