Job summary

The Esland Group Ltd. in Nelson is seeking a Senior Children's Residential Support Worker for Ivy Cottage. This full-time role is based in a dedicated residential home where you will contribute to a nurturing, structured environment for each young person.

You will lead on shift, build strong relationships, support care plans and promote a safe, learning-focused home. A Level 3 Diploma and a valid UK driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 12 months experience in residential childcare.
• A Level 3 Diploma (or above) in Residential Childcare.
• A full UK driving licence - essential for transporting young people and attending external meetings.
• A calm, resilient, and compassionate approach to care.
• Be able to work shift patterns including sleep ins (rota given in advance but likely to be 2-on, 4-off).
• Candidates must have to work in the UK.

Location: Nelson (BB9)

Salary: Up to £37,834 (depending on qualification held)*

Hours: full time (2 days and 2 sleep nights in a row, following by 4 day break)

We're looking for a Senior Residential Support Worker to join our dedicated team in Nelson.

About the Role

Ivy Cottage is a solo EBD home, providing our young person a safe, caring and structured home environment.

As a Senior Support Worker, you'll play a key part in the running of the home and the needs of your young person.

Your role will include:
