YOURRECRUIT LIMITED in Yarnton near Oxford is seeking an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker for a 4-bed Ofsted-rated Good children’s home. The role offers a basic salary of £32,955–£34,171 with additional sleep-in payments (£62.64 each), bringing potential total earnings to about £35,955–£40,171 per year.

Qualifications

• At least 12 months' experience working with children and young people.
• A Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare / Caring for Children and Young People.
• Experience or knowledge of therapeutic, child-centred approaches.
• Confidence supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
• The ability to lead, support and guide other members of the residential team.
• Good written communication and record-keeping skills.
• The flexibility to work long-day shifts, weekends and sleep-ins.
• A full UK driving licence.
• The existing right to work in the UK as sponsorship is not available for this vacancy.

Responsibilities

• Building positive and trusting relationships with children and young people.
• Supporting daily routines, education, activities and independence.
• Providing consistent boundaries and therapeutic support.
• Leading shifts and supporting less experienced members of the team.
• Contributing to care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support plans.
• Maintaining accurate daily records and incident documentation.
• Supporting safeguarding and child protection procedures.
• Working closely with managers, social workers and other professionals.
• Helping create a safe, positive and homely environment.
