Job summary

Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Registered Children's Home Manager in Nelson, Lancashire. The role leads a specialist solo home for one young person (6–18) with complex needs, ensuring safe, nurturing, and compliant care.

Ideal candidates will have Level 3 (essential) and Level 5 (desirable) diplomas, plus 2+ years in children's residential care and strong safeguarding knowledge. An enhanced DBS and Right to Work checks apply.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma is essential
• Level 5 Diploma is desirable
• Minimum 2 years' experience in children's residential care
• At least 12 months in a managerial/supervisory role in residential care
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding practices
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day management of the home ensuring high standards of care and safeguarding
• Lead and support staff to deliver personalised care for one young person aged 6–18
• Maintain regulatory compliance and safe recruitment practices
