Job summary

Peters Dean Care Ltd. is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a children’s residential service. You will oversee operations, safeguarding, and staff leadership, ensuring high-quality care for children with complex needs.

The role requires Ofsted registration (or eligibility) and a strong background in regulatory childcare, quality standards, and trauma-informed practice, with a focus on positive outcomes for young people. Windsor-based with leadership responsibility.

Qualifications

• Level 5 Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent.
• Registered Manager status with Ofsted or eligible to register.
• Minimum 2 years' experience managing children's residential services or similar regulated setting.
• Experience working with children with complex needs, including emotional/behavioural difficulties.
• Strong leadership, safeguarding knowledge and regulatory understanding, with health and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and operational oversight of the home.
• Ensure service complies with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and safeguarding requirements.
• Lead, supervise and develop staff including Deputy Managers and Residential Support Workers.
• Oversee care planning, risk assessments, placement matching and reviews.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure regulatory responsibilities are met.
• Promote a safe, structured, child-centred environment.
• Collaborate with therapists, education professionals, families and external agencies.
• Manage budgets, staffing resources and service performance.
• Contribute to quality assurance, audits and inspection readiness.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a children s residential service and ensure the delivery of safe, effective and high-quality care for children and young people with complex needs. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for the operational management of the home, regulatory compliance, safeguarding, staff leadership and service development. The successful candidate will be registered with Ofsted, or eligible to register, and will have a strong understanding of residential childcare practice, relevant legislation and quality standards. About the Company The service is supported by a wider multidisciplinary model that includes clinical and therapeutic professionals, transition support and administrative staff. The Registered Manager will work closely with internal and external professionals to ensure children receive consistent, well-planned care that supports their emotional, social and educational development.,

• At least 2 years recent experience managing children s residential services or another regulated care setting
• Experience working with children with complex needs, including emotional and behavioural difficulties
• Experience leading and managing teams in a residential or care setting
• Good working knowledge of Children s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
• Safeguarding procedures and risk management
• Trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches
• Health and safety, HR processes and data protection
