Job summary

Purosearch Ltd. is seeking a Children’s Home Registered Manager to lead a solo complex care home in Worsley. You will ensure safe, high-quality care, oversee staff recruitment, training and supervision, and drive continuous improvement to meet Ofsted standards.

The role requires leadership experience in a children's residential setting, solid knowledge of regulations, and a commitment to safeguarding and child welfare. The position offers a full-time, on-site role with career progression.

Qualifications

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent
  • Experience in leadership or management within a children's residential setting
  • Deputy Manager seeking progression to Registered Manager will be considered
  • Strong knowledge of legislation, regulations and guidance relating to children's homes
  • Understanding of child development, attachment theory, trauma-informed practice and therapeutic approaches
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong safeguarding, care planning and risk management awareness

Responsibilities

  • Take overall responsibility for the management and day-to-day operation of the solo complex care home
  • Provide strong leadership, direction and support to the staff team
  • Oversee recruitment, training, supervision and performance management
  • Ensure the home provides a safe, nurturing and supportive environment
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, child welfare and care delivery
  • Develop and oversee individual care plans and risk assessments
  • Ensure children's individual needs, rights and wishes are recognised and supported
  • Maintain full compliance with Ofsted requirements and relevant children's home regulations
  • Prepare the home for Ofsted inspections and ensure records/evidence are maintained to a high standard
  • Address recommendations or areas for improvement and drive continuous improvement
  • Build strong relationships with local authorities, social workers, healthcare professionals, schools and other agencies
  • Coordinate multi-agency support to ensure positive outcomes for the young person
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided
  • Promote a culture of learning, reflection and best practice within the team
  • Develop and implement effective policies, procedures and systems to support the home
  • Advocate for the needs and best interests of the young person at all times

What We're Looking For
