Job summary

West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Community Children’s Nurse for a fixed-term 1-year maternity cover based in the Bury office. The role supports a 7-day community service with 08.00-18.00 weekdays and 09.00-17.00 weekends/bank holidays.

You must hold a valid driving licence and be prepared to travel across West Suffolk. The successful candidate will be a strong team player with the ability to work autonomously, demonstrate advanced clinical skills, and commit to high quality,

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level and registered in the UK as a Child Nurse.
• CPD ongoing evidence and mentorship training are desirable.
• Experience in community or acute care settings with children.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to children with clinical needs in the community.
• Perform gastrostomy care, nasogastric feeding, wound care, IV therapy and blood sampling.
• Travel across West Suffolk; use own vehicle and driving licence as required.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to support patients and families.
