Job summary

HCRG Care Group in Guildford is seeking a Senior Community Carer to deliver high‑quality care to children with complex medical needs in their homes and local community. You will mentor colleagues, support service development, and work closely with families and multidisciplinary teams to ensure personalised and effective care.

This full‑time or part‑time permanent role offers a starting salary of £27,674 plus Group Pension, 37.5 hours per week, and a 24/7 service schedule with night shifts.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health or Social Care or Nursery Nurse qualification.
• Experience with children with complex medical needs.
• Full driving license and access to a car.

Responsibilities

• Deliver consistent, high‑quality care to children and young people with complex health needs following care plans and safeguarding procedures.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with children, families, and multidisciplinary colleagues.
• Maintain professional boundaries and escalate concerns or changes in a child’s condition.
• Ensure availability and safe use of clinical equipment.
• Develop and maintain advanced clinical competencies in tracheostomy care and other complex procedures.
• Administer medication safely and accurately.
• Work independently as a lone worker and manage workload.
• Provide mentorship and informal training to colleagues.
