Job summary

Compass Group UK&I’s CH&CO division in Oxford is seeking a Senior Chef De Partie to join our kitchen team. The role covers ownership of a kitchen section, delivering a varied menu, and supporting the Head Chef in daily operations.

You will work Monday to Friday, 11:00–19:00 (37.5 hours per week) with a focus on quality, hygiene and team development in a vibrant workplace.

Qualifications

• Must take ownership of a kitchen section and maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and service.
• Experience delivering diverse offerings including pizzas, burgers and street-food inspired dishes.
• Support senior kitchen leadership and adapt to menu changes every 6–8 weeks.
• Maintain HACCP, food hygiene and safety standards at all times.

Responsibilities

Location:Oxford

Rate of Pay: £14.50 per hour

Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday, 11:00-19:00, 37.5 hours per week (Term time only)

Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of a kitchen section, ensuring consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
• Prepare and deliver a diverse food offering including pizzas, burgers, Korean chicken, and other street-food inspired dishes.
• Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
• Adapt quickly to menu changes, with a fresh and evolving menu updated every 6-8 weeks.
• Maintain excellent food hygiene, health & safety, and HACCP standards at all times.
• Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimising food waste to achieve budget targets.
• Train and support junior chefs, helping to drive performance and kitchen standards.
• Ensure all dishes are prepared and served consistently during busy service periods.
• Work collaboratively across the kitchen team to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
• Contribute ideas for new dishes and menu development, bringing creativity and passion for food.
