Job summary

CH&CO, a part of Compass Group UK&I, is recruiting for a Cook to join our Oxford operation. Friday–Sunday shifts from 8:00 to 15:00 total 21 hours per week, with flexibility on start/finish times. The role focuses on high-quality dishes, HACCP compliance, and building a growing site’s customer base.

You’ll play a key part in menu development, maintain standards, and contribute to delivering a memorable customer experience in a collaborative kitchen team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver a range of fresh, high-quality hot dishes, ensuring excellent presentation and consistency throughout service.
• Manage food production for a growing operation currently serving 80-100 covers per day, with volumes expected to increase as the newly launched site continues to build its customer base.
• Support the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring smooth and efficient breakfast and lunch service.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, HACCP, and health & safety compliance at all times.
• Assist with stock control, ordering, and waste management to support food cost targets.
• Ensure all food is prepared, cooked, and presented in line with company standards and customer expectations.
• Work collaboratively with the wider catering team to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
• Contribute ideas for menu development and help enhance the food offer as the site grows.

Rate of Pay: £14.00 per hour

Shift Pattern: Friday-Sunday, 8:00-15:00, 21 hours per week (Can be flexible on start and finish time)
