Job summary

Soho House in Greater London is seeking a Senior Chef de Partie to join our high-profile kitchen, delivering exceptional dining experiences for members and guests. You will prepare, cook, and present dishes to the highest standards, while mentoring junior staff and ensuring strict hygiene and allergy compliance.

You will contribute to menu development, lead mise en place, and support the team during busy service periods and events.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in similar capacity.
• Culinary qualification (NVQ Level 1 or 2) is a plus but not essential.
• Understanding of basic food safety and hygiene practices.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present dishes within your section to the highest standards in quality, consistency, and presentation.
• Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in delivering efficient and well-organized service during busy periods and events.
• Ensure full compliance with all food safety, allergy, hygiene, and health standards, including HACCP and company policies.
• Take ownership of mise en place and prep tasks, ensuring all elements are ready and of high quality for service.
• Assist in the training and mentoring of Commis Chefs and Demi Chefs de Partie, helping to develop their technical skills and kitchen knowledge.
• Attending regular meetings with front and back of house teams to learn about any menu or service changes and specials alongside daily tastings.
• Assist in preparation of team meals as requested, considering dietary needs and variety.
• Demonstrate a proactive attitude towards learning, improvement, and teamwork.
• Supporting with the deep cleaning of the entire kitchen before close.
• Wrapping unused items and storing them in proper area at the end of service.
