Job summary

Searcys at the National Portrait Gallery in London is seeking a Senior Chef de Partie to join a high-caliber culinary team. You will craft menus and execute dishes under the guidance of senior chefs, delivering exceptional dining experiences for lunch and dinner service.

You will work within a structured kitchen team, with opportunities to mentor junior staff and contribute to event catering. The role is based on site at the iconic venue, with a focus on quality, consistency and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Very well organised and ability to prioritise work load.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Experience in working in a 5 star hotel or Michelin star restaurant is desirable.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide food/service to a consistent high standard, including assisting senior chefs with functions in other areas.
• Liaise with team to plan for provision of food in all kitchen areas.
• Ensure smooth running of daily operations and pre agreed menu.
• Manage stock levels including ordering and waste control.
• Ensure presentation of food aligns with senior chef standards.
• Comply with health, hygiene, safety and legal requirements.

Searcys are looking for a creative and passionate Senior Chef de Partie to join the teamin the world famous National Portrait Gallery.

As a Senior Chef de Partie in this venue you will get a chance to work with some of some of the best chefs in the business as well as having an interest in creating the finest of quality dishes alongside the Junior Sous Chef and Sous Chef. You will have a structured team, that you will work closely with to deliver lunch and dinner

Salary: up to £17.40 Per Hour (inclusive of Tronc)

Key Responsibilities

• To provide food/service to a consistent high standard, including assisting senior chefs with functions in other different areas throughout the business.
• To liaise with key people in the team in order to plan for the provision of food in all kitchen areas
• To ensure smooth running of daily operations which include ensuring no disruption to the pre agreed menu offer.
• Responsible to manage stock levels of that specific area including ordering when required as well as waste control.
• Ensure the presentation of the food is consistent with the standards set by senior chefs.
• To comply with all legal requirements with particular reference to (but not exclusively) fire regulations, security, licence requirements and any Local Authority or Client stipulations.
• To ensure all Health, Hygiene and Safety requirements are being adhered to
