Job summary

BAO Battersea is seeking a Senior Chef de Partie to lead a kitchen section with confidence, consistency and care, taking ownership during prep and service.

In this hands-on role you’ll mentor junior chefs, work closely with the Sous and Head Chef to maintain high standards, and thrive in a fast-paced, quality-led environment while continuing to grow within the BAO group.

Qualifications

• Experience as a strong Chef de Partie or current Senior CDP in a fast-paced, quality-led kitchen.
• Ability to run a section and mentor junior chefs.
• Calm, organised approach with attention to detail.
• Desire to learn and contribute to a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for your section during prep and service.
• Lead junior chefs and support training and feedback.
• Cook and plate dishes to a consistently high standard.
• Help manage ordering and prep levels on your section.
• Work cleanly and efficiently to keep the kitchen calm and well-organised.
• Support the Sous, Senior Sous and Head Chef with daily operations and kitchen standards.

BAO Battersea is looking for a Senior Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team and take ownership of a section with confidence, consistency, and care.

The Restaurant

BAO Noodle Shop in the iconic Battersea Power Station. Perch around the expansive wrap around counter, where chefs serve bowlfuls of beef noodle soup, xiao chi and BAO.Bao's goal is to create restaurants that offer a different experience to each other, inspired by our founder's upbringing and travels around Asia. Each restaurant within the group has a unique menu and a different story.

The Position

As Senior Chef de Partie, you’ll be trusted to lead your section day-to-day, support the junior team, and uphold the high standards our guests expect.

You’ll work closely with the Sous, Senior Sous and Head Chef to keep the kitchen running smoothly, and play a key role in creating a positive, well-organised environment. This is a hands‑on role for someone who takes pride in their craft, thrives in service, and is ready to step up.
