Job summary

Responsibilities
  1. Manage the day-to-day running of their section within the kitchen.
  2. Manage cost and quality control for both incoming and outgoing goods.
  3. Ensure proper storage conditions and stock rotation.
  4. Maintain kitchen hygiene at all times.
  5. Monitor costs and wastage.
  6. Take and document temperature readings daily and follow hygiene procedures.
  7. Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and appearance.
  8. Assist in training and development of junior team members.
  9. Perform any other relevant duties.
Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation and Cooking or equivalent.
  • Food Safety Level 1 Certificate.
Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a busy kitchen environment.
  • Knowledge of all kitchen sections and different styles of cooking.
  • Good understanding of EHO regulations, temperature checking, and record keeping.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
