Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of their kitchen section.
- Control costs and maintain quality for incoming and outgoing goods.
- Ensure proper storage and stock rotation.
- Maintain kitchen hygiene standards at all times.
- Monitor costs and wastage.
- Record daily temperature readings and hygiene procedures.
- Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and appearance.
- Assist in training and developing junior team members.
- Perform any other relevant duties.
Qualifications and Skills
- NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation and Cooking or equivalent qualification.
- Food Safety Level 1 Certificate.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a busy kitchen environment.
- Knowledge of all kitchen sections and various cooking styles.
- Good understanding of EHO regulations, temperature checking, and record keeping.
- Ability to work well within a team.
